    • Abstract:
The article provides information on the decline in the protection of sea turtles. It states that earlier the U.S. had played a lead role globally in their protection but now the government seems more interested in rolling back conservation measures than protecting the last of the sea turtles, particularly along the California coast. Information on the past efforts of the U.S. to lead the way to protect endangered sea turtles is presented. It states that at a time when all seven species of sea turtles are considered endangered decisive action is needed to protect these species.
