    • Abstract:
The article presents an analysis of the nature of political developments in Serbia after the fall of President Slobodan Milosevic in October 2000, and the effect of the Succession Agreement to Yugoslavs. It is stated that the succession of States is a contextual issue in which legal rules have a role to play only at the level of general principles. According to the author, all steps should be undertaken in a way that rationally accommodates the rights of the Republic of Serbia.
