    • Abstract:
The article compares the patient's health-related quality of life after minimally invasive approach to esophageal cancer treatment (MIE) versus open esophagectomy. Topics discussed include the early advantages of MIE, the importance of minimizing the perioperative complications, and the threat posed by the inborn nature of the cancer manifestation on the patient's long-term prognosis.
